I offer evidence-based, personalized therapy to adults throughout Hawaiʻi and Washington state
If you’d like help healing from the impact of trauma and/or
addictive behaviors, you’re in the right place.

Hi, I'm Dr. Danielle
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist and research scientist with specialized training in trauma, PTSD, and addictive behaviors. I believe therapy works best when it’s collaborative, evidence-based, and genuinely tailored to who you are — your culture, your history, and your goals. Together, we’ll look honestly at what’s working, where you’re stuck, and what skills will move you forward.
Services & Specialities
I provide individual, couples and family therapy.
In addition to helping you address general mental health concerns/mood disorders, I specialize in treating trauma/PTSD and addictive behaviors. I also work with partners of individuals with sexual compulsivity in the areas of infidelity and betrayal trauma. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment for clients to approach difficult life experiences. If you would like to take an active role in improving your quality of life while learning tools to foster lasting change, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Why Work With Me
A practice built around fit, not volume
Before we begin, I always conduct an in-depth consultation to make sure we're genuinely right for each other. You won't be assigned to me — you'll choose me, and I'll choose you.
Treatment grounded in both science and community
I'm an NIH-funded principal investigator and a public health researcher whose work is built on community-based participatory principles. The best evidence comes not just from clinical trials, but from the knowledge and lived experience of the people affected. That same philosophy shapes how I work with you: as the expert in your own life.
Training from the source
My clinical skills come from gold-standard sources. I have sought training in the most rigorous settings, learning evidence-based approaches directly from the clinicians and researchers who developed them.
